Vincent Tamburrini, Ii

Vincent Tamburrini, II, 86, passed away May 15, 2024. He was the husband of Vivian A. (Volpe) Tamburrini. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Vincent and Angela (Oliva) Tamburrini.

He graduated from Lasalle Academy in 1955, and then went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree at Providence College, and received his Doctorate of Chemistry at URI.

During his career, his wife of 63 years often accompanied him on many of his business trips which took them all over the world.  Before retiring at age 59, he was an Executive Co-Owner of Dryvit Systems.

He enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He attended St. Francis de Sales Church in North Kingstown where he had been a Eucharistic Minister and a lector.  Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Always quick-witted.  His sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to those around him.

Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Vincent Tamburrini, III and Melissa M. Desrosiers; two grandchildren Christopher M. Tamburrini and Abigail M. Desrosiers; two great grandchildren Ronan and Vance and his two sisters Elena Leary and Jean Tyson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 22nd at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:30 am in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.
