Vito A. Macera, 55, a life long resident of East Greenwich passed away at home March 3, 2018.
Born in Warwick, he was the son of Stephen M Macera and the late Barbara L (Jencks) Macera.
Vito was a former co-owner of Steve Macera & Sons Inc and Stateline Disposal, Inc. He was a cherished father and his greatest role was being a grandfather. Vito was “Papa” to five grandchildren which he adored. Although he was an avid sports fan, the Patriots were his favorite team. He liked to say he was their loyal fan even before they became the NFL champions. He enjoyed going to New Hampshire and spending time in the family cabin. He was loved by many and his smile and sense of humor will be missed. He will now join his late Mother, Brother and Sister who he missed so very much.
Besides his father, he is survived by his beloved daughters Kristina and Kerry Macera, his loving sister Angela M. Briggs and husband Edward, his grandchildren Lillyana, Armanna, Leeland, Anthony and new born Sienna Rose. He also leaves his companion, Ellen J Antonio and her daughter Lena; his sister-in-law Tammy A. Macera; nephews Stephen Macera III Blake Macera and Edman Barnes; nieces Colby Macera Blanchard and Cassandra Tibbits. He was the brother of the late Stephen (Ponch) Macera Jr and Debra Macera.
