Walter W. Fortune Sr.

Walter W. Fortune, Sr., 83, peacefully passed away while surrounded by his loving family Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was a life-long resident of Rhode Island. Walter was a veteran of the US Army where he took up truck driving. After retirement he continued to work as a maintenance tech for Walmart until the age of 81.  Walter was a very funny guy with a laugh that no one could ever duplicate. Walter leaves behind 4 children; Maureen Perry, Linda Johnson, Sandra Winters, Walter Fortune Jr. and a large group of family and friends that will miss him dearly. Walter loved his cups of tea and if you ever offered him one he would say INDUBITABLY. Walter requested for everyone's safety to have no services due to Covid-19 on the rise again. His family will set up a memorial in his honor for another time when things are safe and warm outside. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children. Thank you.
