William F. 'Bill' Boland

William F. 'Bill' Boland, 85, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Barone) Boland. Mr. and Mrs. Boland were happily married for 50 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Philomena (Dilucci)Boland, he lived in Johnston and Warwick most of his life. He was a United States Marine, a Rhode Island State Trooper and a member of the Amtrak Police Department where he retired from in 2001, and a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence. Devoted to his family, he is survived by his son, William Boland Jr. of Cranston, his grandchildren, Nicholas and Joseph and his nephews and niece. He is also survived by his beloved brother James Boland of North Providence. Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm disposition, quick wit and ability to make people laugh was one of his many qualities that made him special to all who came in contact with him.
