William Asa Winter

William Asa Winter passed away May 31 after a brief illness. He was 53.

Bill spent his early years in Schenectady, NY and East Greenwich, RI. He was a graduate of Providence Country Day School and New England Technical School. For many years he was an agent for insurance companies in Massachusetts, Colorado and Rhode Island, and eventually became an independent insurance broker.

In his spare time he enjoyed boats, cars, skiing and golf. Bill will be remembered for his imagination, warm sense of humor, and the many deeds he did for others.

Bill is survived by his daughter Catherine Winter of East Greenwich and her mother Danielle D. Winter, his parents Robert and Janet Winter of Orleans, Massachusetts, a nephew Michael DeLory of Warwick and three cousins and their families.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday June 23 ^rd at 3:00 pm at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 99 Peirce St., East Greenwich.
